The Peach-faced Loverbird is among our favorites of all the varieties of lovebirds. Because they are stunningly beautiful with lively and pleasing colors, these little charmers are also sometimes known as the rosy-faced or rosy-collared lovebird. What could be more charming or lovely than a peached-faced lovebird?

Lovebirds are small parrots or Psittaciformes. They are very social and make terrific pets and companions. They are loving and attentive as mates, but tend to bond better with their human families when they are kept as single birds. While not great talkers, they can learn to mimic some sounds, like bells and whistles.

Yellow-naped Amazon

Like all Amazons, the Yellow-naped bonds well and makes a great pet. These bright green parrots have a beautiful shock of yellow feathers on the back, or nape, of the neck. Play time and exercise with a variety of toys and enrichment activities will keep your Amazon healthy and active. You’ll want to change out toys often to keep your parrot engaged. Cockatiel Babies — Fancy Colors

The cockatiel is a friendly little bird and our selection of babies changes all the time. We have fancy colored ‘tiels in store that will catch your eye and then capture your heart. Though their appearance varies, there is only one type of cockatiel (Nymphicus hollandicus). These charming, beautiful young birds come in a variety of colors and mutations:

We love our ‘tiels. They are funny, lovable, and a great addition to any bird-loving family. For example, these fun little birds love to whistle and chirp. They are very curious and busy, so keep yours happy, healthy, and well-adjusted by offering a wide variety of toys. By rotating toys in and out of their cage, you can keep their environment interesting.

English Budgies

The English Budgerigar (Budgie) is the larger cousins of American Budgerigars (also known as parakeets). They are 2-3 inches longer than parakeets, and weigh about twice as much. Budgies are available in a wide variety of colors and patterns. They look fluffier than parakeets and tend to have sweeter personalities if they are well socialized. These birds have been specifically bred as pets and are often show birds.

English Budgies live  about 7 to 9 years. These small parrots appreciate a generous cage and lots of enrichment to keep them happy and healthy. The Animal Store carries a wide variety of toys that will keep your bird busy. The more time you spend with your English Budgie, the happier it will be. They have calm personalities and can learn to talk quite well, making them fantastic family pets.

The charming canary is one of the most popular pet birds in the world. They are quite friendly, and humans have considered the canary a wonderful companion for hundreds of years.  A male canary will start practicing its pretty songs at about three months old, and both males and females enjoy a lot of attention. People who live in apartments or smaller homes appreciate canaries because they are among the quietest of our feathered friends

Though usually thought of as bright yellow, there are more than 200 varieties of canaries. They are all easy to care for and can live 10 to 14 years.
