The Pearl Cockatiel has been selectively bred to produce this stunning coloration that is not found in the wild. This variation is named for the small spots or “pearls” of color across their feathers.

Like all cockatiels, the Pearl makes an excellent pet. Cockatiels are the smallest member of the Cockatoo family. They are quieter than larger parrots, displaying a wide range of vocalizations, calls and whistles. And they are great mimics that can learn to talk.

Well-cared-for cockatiels can live 15 to 30 years as family pets. They are sweet, shy and intelligent, and do well when offered a wide variety of toys that you change out frequently.

Pallid Green Quaker Parakeet or Parrot — Sometimes called Monk Parakeets, this pretty bird has bright, neon green feathers. Quakers are extremely popular because they make great pets. They are known as great talkers and excellent mimics. Quakers enjoy a roomy cage with plenty of toys to enrich their day. It’s a good idea to change out toys frequently to avoid boredom. A busy bird is a healthy, happy bird.

Green-winged Macaw

This stunning parrot, known as both the Green-winged and Red-and-green Macaw, is easily spotted by the stripe of green on its wings and the fine red lines on its white cheeks. Macaws are the largest of all the parrots, with big beaks and long tails. Come in to the baby bird nursery for a visit.

We just know you’ll love the beautiful jewel tones of the Rosella Parakeet. They sport a bright red head with white cheeks, and a rainbow of primary colors on their bodies.

Did you know that all parakeets are parrots, but not all parrots are parakeets. “Parakeet” literally means “small parrot”, and Rosellas grow to be about 12 inches from their head to the tip of their tail. This Lutino Indian Ringneck parrot (or parakeet) is stunning. Lutino’s are a bright, beautiful yellow with red beaks and a tell-tale ring around its neck. These outgoing pets can become great talkers, with a large, clear vocabulary. Why are they sometimes called parrots and sometimes called parakeets? “Parakeet” simply means “small parrot”, so all parakeets are parrots, but not all parrots are parakeets.
